Theodore Capistrano Boborol, born on December 19, 1979, is a notable Filipino film and television director.
He began his career in 2000 as a creative researcher for Star Cinema, one of the Philippines’ leading film production companies. Boborol made his directorial debut with the teen romantic comedy-drama, “Just the Way You Are”, in 2015. However, he gained widespread recognition for his second feature film, “Vince and Kath and James” (2016), which was both a commercial hit and critically acclaimed. His third film, “Finally Found Someone,” became one of the highest-grossing films in the Philippines in 2017.
Recently, Boborol has continued to make his mark in the industry with projects like the popular Wattpad-adapted romance drama series, “The Rain in España” (2022). He also ventured into reality television, directing the first and second season of “Sparks Camp” (2023-2024), the Philippines’ first queer dating reality show, marking his debut in the reality genre.
