For over a decade, Linfield Ng has led NBCUniversal Formats’ efforts in Asia as Vice President of Format Distribution and Production.
Spanning a 25-year career in entertainment, Linfield has made a considerable impact on the industry, paving the way for countless local format adaptations in Asia.
He has also fostered local partnerships with the likes of Banijay Asia, MBC Korea, ABC TV Japan and Zense Thailand to name a few, and has overseen the international adaptations of smash-hit formats including “Suits”, “That’s My Jam”, “Hollywood Game Night”, “Saturday Night Live” and “Top Chef”.
In the last few years alone, Linfield pioneered the first international adaptation of NBC’s “Dancing with Myself” for Vietnamese audiences, along with “World of Dance”, “Songland” in Thailand, “Master of Photography” in Mongolia, and “Suits” in South Korea.
He has also worked on returning series such as “Baggage” in Vietnam, “Top Chef” in Thailand and Vietnam, “Saturday Night Live” in Korea, “Hollywood Game Night” in Thailand and “Singer Auction” in Vietnam.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal Formats, Linfield has worked at Endemol Asia, BBC Worldwide and Warner Bros. Pictures International Distribution.
