A magical paper mirror passes through the hands of strangers in an old neighbourhood, revealing secrets, mending hearts and transforming lives — until its final owner discovers it holds the power to save someone who was never meant to exist.

At midnight, in a paper offerings shop sitting in an old neighbourhood, the owner Uncle Liang is burning paper offerings when he unexpectedly invokes a mysterious power – a bloodstained paper mirror miraculously becomes real after burning. When roadside barber Lao Qian drops by Uncle Liang’s shop, he is attracted to the mirror. Uncle Liang, unable to explain the strange occurrence, agrees to gift it to him.
While Lao Qian gives customers a haircut, he is shocked to see snippets of their memories through the mirror. Initially taken aback, Lao Qian gradually accepts his newfound ability. He listens to and advises his troubled customers while putting in tremendous effort to mend his strained relationship with his daughter.
In the same neighbourhood is a second-hand bookstore, which Haoyu takes over from his late grandfather. When Haoyu visits Lao Qian for a haircut, Lao Qian sees his troubles through the mirror. Gifting the mirror to him, Lao Qian hints at Haoyu to return to the bookshop to locate a particular book. Through the mirror’s reflection, Haoyu finds the book, but it turns out to be an empty one. Meanwhile, he faces pressure from his father to sell the bookshop. Lost and helpless, Haoyu finds support in Hannah, who once benefited from his late grandfather’s guidance. Hannah encourages Haoyu and supports his efforts to protect the old bookshop. Later, a deeply shocking revelation about the culprit behind the bookshop’s troubles leaves Haoyu distraught.
The magical mirror finds its way to Ramesh, the son of a Kacang Puteh seller Krish. Ramesh takes over the Kacang Puteh stall after his father falls ill. His girlfriend Ashley disapproves of his decision to give up his job as an engineer to become a hawker. With her likeminded parents, she pressurises Ramesh but to no avail as he is determined to run the Kacang Puteh business. Ramesh personally prepares the Kacang Puteh for customers but fails to replicate the authentic flavours. One day, he miraculously sees footages of his grandfather and father preparing Kacang Puteh through the mirror. Inspired, Ramesh successfully replicates the flavours reminiscent of his grandfather and turns the business around. Seeing a get-rich opportunity, Ashley urges Ramesh to reinvent Kacang Puteh as luxury snacks. However, Krish is against the idea and insists on preserving tradition, leaving Ramesh in a painful dilemma.
In the mirror, Ramesh sees Doudou, the parakeet belonging to the fortune teller Shengda, he gifts the mirror to Shengda and unexpectedly, the missing Doudou flies out from the mirror and communicates with Weiwei, a little girl. Weiwei’s father, Jiawei, is a staunch believer of fortune-telling. 12 years ago, he sought Shengda’s advice for his relationship woes. According to Shengda, the divination lot revealed a relationship plagued by difficulties. Despite so, he encouraged Jiawei to press on to eventually find success. A convinced Jiawei married his then-girlfriend, Xinlin, and they had Weiwei together. The couple has vastly different personalities and often fights, upsetting Weiwei. One day, Doudou tells Weiwei that Shengda is in trouble. Jiawei refuses to believe Weiwei’s words, and later learns that Shengda had indeed passed on at home. With his dying breath, Shengda gifted a capsule toy machine to Weiwei, hoping to mend the marriage of Weiwei’s parents.
Back at the paper offerings shop, Uncle Liang’s new disciple Cheng makes a paper parakeet for the late Shengda. While burning the offerings, Cheng presses Uncle Liang about the truth behind his identity. Uncle Liang relents and tells Cheng that like the mirror, he is a paper effigy that became real upon burning. It turns out that the previous encounter with the magical mirror had inspired Uncle Liang to craft a paper effigy of a young man. After burning the paper effigy, a young man emerges from the ashes and comes to life. Uncle Liang names him Cheng and teaches him everything about the paper offerings trade. Initially relieved that he has found a successor to his business, Uncle Liang is shocked to learn that the burned paper offerings will all turn into ashes after 100 days. Uncle Liang knows deep down that Cheng will not escape the similar fate. As he grapples with the sadness of soon losing Cheng, will Uncle Liang eventually be able to save him?
午夜时分，在一个老旧社区的纸扎铺里，纸扎铺老板梁伯在午夜时分正在焚烧纸扎品时，意外启动神秘力量，沾了血迹的纸扎镜在焚烧后成真。在附近街边理发的老钱找梁伯串门子时，被这面镜子所吸引，梁伯不便说出怪异的遭遇，只好把镜子赠与老钱。这面镜子落到街边理发师老钱的手里，老钱在帮客人理发时，竟从镜子中看到他们的记忆片段。老钱从不敢置信，到慢慢接受自己拥有这股神奇力量，从中点醒饱受烦恼折腾的顾客，并努力修复与女儿的关系。
同一个社区有家浩瀚书店，皓宇是在爷爷去世后，奉命继承这家书店。皓宇来找老钱理发，老钱看出皓宇的担忧，提示他找一本书，并将镜子送给他。皓宇透过镜子反射出的提示，找到一本无字书。此时，皓宇父亲不断施压，要皓宇卖店，在他茫然无措之际，所幸曾得到爷爷帮助的Hannah给予皓宇支持并鼓励他守住书店。然而，皓宇万万想不到的是陷害书店的人竟是……
神秘镜子辗转落入Kacang Puteh摊贩Krish的儿子Ramesh手中。Ramesh在父亲病倒后接手摊位，女友Ashley无法认同工程师男友转行当小贩，通过父母来向他施压，奈何Ramesh心意已决，并动手做Kacang Puteh，但做出来的口感却差强人意。一次Ramesh竟从镜中看到爷爷与父亲制作Kacang Puteh的视频，Ramesh从中获得启发，成功做出有爷爷的味道，生意越来越火红。Ashley看到商机，便把Kacang Puteh包装成高级零食，但碍于父亲坚守传统，让Ramesh陷入两难局面。
Ramesh意外发现算命鹦鹉豆豆出现在镜中，便将镜子递给算命师盛达，没想到失踪的豆豆竟从镜子飞出来，并能跟小女孩薇薇沟通。薇薇的爸爸泇伟很相信算命，12年前，就为他的感情问题来找盛达算鸟卦。盛达见卦象波折重重，但仍鼓励泇伟勇往直前。泇伟与欣琳婚后，生下薇薇，但夫妻俩性格不合，经常吵架，薇薇为此不开心。一日，豆豆告诉薇薇算命师出事了，薇薇通知泇伟但泇伟不信，后证实盛达在家中过世。盛达临终前送给薇薇命运扭蛋机，希望可以修补她父母的婚姻……
这时，梁伯新收的徒弟阿诚做了纸扎鸟，烧给算命师时，按捺不住追问身世，梁伯松口承认阿诚就跟镜子一样，是烧出来的“纸扎人”。原来，当梁伯成功烧出镜子后，就突发奇想，制作了年轻纸扎人偶，果不其然，人偶烧成灰烬后，一个年轻人从灰烬中走出来。梁伯为他取名阿诚，并把多年的手艺都传给他。梁伯对后继有人感到欣慰，直到赫然发现烧出来的纸扎品会在第100天化成灰，知道阿诚也逃不过这个命运，梁伯万般的不舍，他能否保住阿诚？
